Example of a pneumatic Hand Tool

This custom made pneumatic punching tool is used to crimp aluminium panels onto a supporting aluminium extrusion which is in turn mounted onto wall support channels.

The punch is machined to produce a locking dimple in an aluminium extrusion to lock it onto an aluminium panel.

The stack cylinder design is very simple and robust and generates about 5kN (0.5 t ) at 8 bar.

All parts used are available off the shelf and spare parts are readily available.

The punch tool guide is fabricated from high quality tool steel.

The punch can punch a 6mm hole into 1mm mild steel (max).

The tool guide is usually designed to suit your application.

The punch stroke of the pneumatic hand punch shown is 20mm –

The punch stroke can be modified to suit your application.

The hand punch is triggered via a trigger switch incorporated in the handle of the hand punch. The trigger switch has a safety catch and operates the master valve which supplies the cylinders with compressed air.

The punch is screwed into the last cylinder in the front section of the pneumatic hand tool.
