Automatic assembly cell for an automotive component. (Photos taken during commissioning)

This facility was built by TAMA to a specification supplied by the customer. An operator assembles the parts for the component on a conveyor. The component is pushed off the conveyor and accumulated on a storage table. The operator then places the components into a magazine from which the component is then automatically picked up and checked and then placed into a carousel table. The carousel table consists of a loading station, three riveting stations, a test station and a take out station with linear take out and storage facility.

The system was designed for easy maintenance access and all systems could easily be removed for service elsewhere.

The control system featured a touch screen interface.
