This unit was built to assemble a small drive nut onto a geared motor and quality check if the thread on nut and threaded drive shaft is within specification.

The operator puts a drive nut onto a location hole.

The motor with gear box is located onto a nest.

The motor with gear box is pushed forward.

The front of the threaded shaft is automatically greased.

The drive nut is screwed onto the threaded shaft.

The threaded shaft is greased during the process making sure that all parts of the drive nut section are sufficiently lubricated.

The drive nut is operated backward and forward and the current required for the operation is measured.

Determined by the current requirement, the assembly is passed or rejected.

If the unit is rejected the operator has to pull a reject sticker from a label dispenser and put it on the unit and press a release button.

If the unit passed a label with the pass date and time is dispensed.

Units without label are automatically treated as reject and retested.
