The
studs are pressed into the aluminium bracket via two large pneumatic
cylinder located beneath the loading table.
The
air pressure required and travel during the process is monitored to
determine that the studs are pressed into the bracket with sufficient
force.
Every
stud location is checked via a special fibre optic scanning sensor that
ensures that a stud is present and has a thread.
For
this application the height of the stud from the aluminium base of the
bracket is critical, so an integrated differential measuring system was
developed by TAMA to ensure that the studs are pressed in home and have
been delivered with the right length.
The
operator places the parts into a nest and presses the start button. The
assembly and quality check sequence is fully automatic. |
