Special Sample Saw designed for an application in the aluminium industry.
 

Below some photos taken during commissioning in the workshop before the saw was shipped to the customer.

Brief description of operation:

The saw has been designed to cut off a section of extrusion from aluminium extrusions that are transported on a belt system.

A belt system positioned the aluminium extrusion into the table centre of the saw.

The saw is automatically started and cuts a section of the aluminium extrusion.

The aluminium extrusion on the belt system is then transported to the nest operation by the belts system.

The cut section on the saw table is pulled back from the saw cut and then pushed off the saw table by a pusher arm.The cut section is preliminary accumulated on a slide table until they can be collected by an operator.

Test cut during work shop commissioning

Simple Saw Blade feed extend control that sets the saw blade up stroke to the required up stroke to just cut the extrusion. This prevents the saw blade from performing a full stroke, hence, reducing cutting time and improving safety.

Rigid well engineered tilt aluminium extrusion push off the table arm

Motor Carriage supported and guided by two extra large linear guides. Feed stroke via two quality Vickers hydraulic cylinders configured as tandem feed powered by an external Vickers hydraulic power pack for easy service access.

 

The 800mm Saw Blade is driven by a hight energy efficient 7,5kW Baldor motor featuring three V belt drive for maximum durability. The motor is controlled via a VFD featuring soft start and forced soft stop after cutting with electronic current overload and the ability to set the exact saw blade speed required for cutting.

Control System with override buttons for service purposes on the side of the enclosure.
